The Museum of Czech Literature Literary Archive (MCL LA) amasses, processes, preserves and provides access to records on the development of literature and book culture in the Czech lands and on records that relate to lives, works and legacies of prominent figures of Czech literature and the book culture dating from the 18th century to the present. Collections contain numerous wholes, which generally concern the cultural development in the Czech lands and Central European space (private fonds of excellent figures from the culture, politics or social life; diverse archives of associations or institutions) or the outset of science in the Czech lands (especially linguistics, history, medicine).
