The dwelling house with a garden was built in the first quarter of the 20^th century. The real estate was taken over by the Museum of Czech Literature in 2006; now it is home to the MCL Collections Presentation Department.

The ground floor serves for staging occasional exhibitions, intimate in character and devoted to current events, to lectures, to literature-theme programmes, to cultural or social events predominantly composed for adults. Events can be staged in its adjacent garden if convenient. The Little Villa boasts a public permanent display ‘Ladislav Mňačko’s Study Room‘. The Department offices are situated on the 1^st floor.
