MCL NEW BOOKS

New books from the MCL book production are sure to delight fans of our exhibitions staged in 2017. The prestigious and extensive publication in three languages – Czech, Russian, English – with a rich image supplement titled The Experience of Exile. The Destinies of Exiles from the Territory of the Former Russian Empire in Interwar Czechoslovakia is a scholarly catalogue that accompanied the same-named exhibition held in the Star Summer Palace from June to October 2017. The book by Barbora Vlášková Wenceslaus Hollar Bohemus (1607-1677). From the Museum of Czech Literature Collections reflects the work of that eminent Baroque engraver and his place in the MCL collection. The publication comes out to accompany the virtual exhibition ‘Wenceslaus Hollar Bohemus – The Language of Needle and Burin’ that is on view on e-vystavy.pamatniknarodnihopisemnictvi.cz.
